DIY ripped jeans
Hello everyone and welcome to my channel. Today I'll be showing you how to rip your jeans, and I know there are tons of really good tutorials on , telling you how to do that, however, it was highly requested back on my Polish YT channel so I decided I'd give it a go, and if you want to see how I do it, just keep watching! First of all, you want to put your jeans on and walk around in them for a bit.
You might try sitting down, standing up because after a while they will simply fit differently, and we don't want the holes to be in the wrong places. Next, we do the cut, and it will be a lot easier if you do it while you're wearing your jeans since then, there will be no room for any mistakes. For the knees, I usually make 2 symmetrical cuts, right in the middle of the knee or slightly above it.
I also like to do a cut on the back, and it's usually somewhere on the upper part of the thigh. The best way to do it is to mark where you want it to be, while you're wearing your jeans, and then take them off and cut them. Now I pull on all of the loose strings and then I pull the strings that are at the edge of the cut, with a crocheting needle. You could do this with tweezers and a normal needle,
but my way is the easiest way. 🙂 If any strings are too long, I simply cut them. Those jeans were a bit too stretchy and it turned out to be quite hard to show you how I rip them, but this is what I got after I finished. So I moved on to another pair of jeans to show you once more how it's done. Don't worry if you're getting loose strings at the beginning you'll eventually reach a moment when they stop breaking.
The further I go, the narrower it gets. I'm not really a fan of this stringy effect since when I think of ripped jeans, I think of something effortless, really trashy and simple. So, this is how it came out. And here are some of my DIY ripped jeans, maybe to inspire you a bit. Just remember to:
a) wear your jeans for a bit before you rip them b) a crocheting needle is the easiest way to do this. Thanks for watching and leaving a like, and I'll see you in the next one, babes! Bye!.
